She's standing proud next to a fire she started. It's windy and rainy, so didn't last long (and was smokey as hell thanks to the rain), but was awesome to see her do it.
She used tumble dryer lint as the tinder.
Small dead branches from a standing dead tree as the kindling
And finger thick twigs and branches to keep it going.
Overall she got it going with a match, but did the rest herself to keep it going.
Proud dad moment...and I took the opportunity to throw on my box for char cloth, and after the flames died out and the embers kept going, I closed the bbq lid and let.the box sit. It will be taken out in a few hours or so once it's all cooled down.
