It was time for a group sharpen so I took these at the same time. Four more under the work bench awaiting new handles.

Ah no Dean, no new pictures.... although I'm about to start restoring a cruiser axe - when the new helve arrives. Its a stunning weight of head...I think it will end up very light and lively - a bit like a double bit version of the Scandinavian Forest Axe. Looking forward to working on this one :)

They look startlingly well done though (the right term is well hung...but I'm just not going there!). Joking aside I'd love to see some side on shots of the collection!

From left to right and in sequence. Eagle edge tools - Gilpin Wedge mills - Brades - GB carving - Gilpin- Spear and Jackson old school- Gem 2- John Riley- Spearwell- the rest have no makers names.
