I'm looking for a new set of pans (for one person tho often hungry) for hanging over a fire and standing on a honey stove. I'm wondering about the Mil-com set

http://www.greenmanbushcraft.co.uk/outdoor-kitchen/mil-com-billy-can-nesting-set.htm

Has anybody used them and if so are they any good?

Alternatively, if anybody can recommend something else, bearing in mind I want two pans, preferably nested and with at least one lid between them, then I'd be glad to hear it.

I've looked at billy cans like the Zebra but they don't appear to nest. Highlander make a copper bottom pan but the handle looks a bit wide for hanging easily and the frying pan doesn't look like it'll work as a lid plus no nesting.

I think we've all used/owned those cans before.
Nothing wrong with them - what you see is what you get.
For the price, they're good value for money. And given your requirements I'd say they just about fit the bill perfectly.

Can't go wrong with one of these sets, I have a set that I got years ago and gets used for any family trips, and now my eldest takes them when he goes on holidays with his mates and they are still as strong as the day I got them, all sorts of camping trip tales revolve around these pans, a genuine campfire classic that you can use with gas, meths, solid fuels and an open camp fire.

was using a similar set earlier this week while out with the two boys, only used the small and medium ones for the whole trip, not bad bits of kit for the money tbh, three pots, six if you include the lids as fry pans as well, for the price of one Zebra Billy, cant be bad

I haven't used them, but my opinion of Mil-Com kit is not generally aired in public as I am unable to vent my true feelings on it without using language I would get arrested for using :D.

Saying that it's just a set of pans so I'd be pretty surprised if they turned out to be bad, how wrong can they go?!
