I have made four sets of micromesh sharpening/stroping boards they are 6" ×1 3/4"×1/4" walnut boards with 1500, 4000, 6000 & 8000 grits stuck on, micromesh can be scrubbed clean unlike wet n dry as it has a cloth backing so it lasts a lot longer.
I would like £10 all in for a set of four.

Cheer Rob. Will make truing up a wonky grind much easier than my 6000/1000.

So how long does this micromesh last? Is is worth replacing usual sandpaper for other use?

I'm still on my first set I made in the summer must have sharpend ( stropped) 10 blades mostly zero grind scandi, I sharpen upto 1200 on Dmt stones then switch to either waterstones or micromesh, since using the micromesh I haven't used the waterstones, they are really good but they are for finishing not full sharpening.
