most camping shops and often a lot of petrol stations... its a large bottle of purple liquid. methelated spirits. can even buy it in asda i seem to remember.

Hi,

Most DIY places like B&Q, Homebase and Focus sell meths. I think most pharmacies stock it as well but I have only veer bought from a DIY store.

DIY shops are normally cheaper than camping shops for the same stuff. I usually get mine from the local Mica hardware shop, it's about £2 for a 750ml bottle.

There was one decorating suppliers on the web who did 5L for under a tenner but I can't find them now.

I get mine from Halfords - only comes in 0.5ltr bottles though.
