2 questions to do with leather carving please...
When leather carving pictures what do people use to stain the tooled areas? I normally use the antique paste stuff but i think there are other options out there. What do you use?
Secondly, I haven't used colour on leather carving yet and quite like the idea of water based pencils - they give a more subtle colour than the paint on brightness you can get with some of the feibings paints which are just too bright for my liking.
how have people combined carving, tooling and colours? Do you still use the antique paste on non coloured areas? presumably colouring goes on last or the paste would block out the colour underneath?
