I mean your own with permission for use in my research...

They must have horns!

I already have some cows.

(Antelopes might be handy too)

Tengu, I will be vaccinating some Black Welsh Mountain sheep later today including some tup lambs with partially developed horns if that helps?

If it is just for research, below are some links to some goat, antelope and bovine pix from my collection - if any are of use, let me know and I can send you the file.

What’s the research - presumably archaeological?

Cheers,

J

Black Welsh Mountains - not the biggest horns in the world but they are only 4 months old! :)

Sorry for being so long to get back; busy being hot and miserable.

Wanderer, I need your name so I can credit you properly. Tutor serious on copyright; he even makes me sort my pics from those dad took for me.

Nomad, -no idea as to how to download from Fliker...can you post them all here?

Thanks for all your help

I have a full size of this if needed. Springbok and Gemsbok.

Very impressive collection Nomad. I am curious where you were and how long it took to take them all.

Looks like Etosha, C_Claycombe?

Thanks, I was lucky to be able to spend three and a half years bimbling around Africa and the Middle East living out of a Land Rover. This included a year managing a remote National Park in northern Malawi and spending as much time as possible in camping in NPs and elsewhere in the bush.

The pictures are from all over - our extremely meandering and often circular route took us from Namibia, up through ZA, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt, Jordan and Israel. Outside the expensive Kenyan and Tanzanian NPs, others (esp ZA/Namibia and Botswana - if you know how the Botswana Parks booking system works - Mrs N is excellent at this), can be amazing value for money if you have your own transport.

Photography is a passion of mine and having almost limitless time in the bush means that I have an awful lot of photos, I put a small selection on Flickr (link below).

https://www.flickr.com/photos/30865846@N02/albums

These pictures formed the basis of a talk I was asked to give at the Royal Geographical Society in London (I hate public speaking!) and quite a few have been published in guide books and academic research but it is just a hobby

I could tell you were not dragged out on canned safari to see the big five (or whatever number they are) none of which have horns and are so not interesting to me.

(You can imagine what I would be like on safari. I DEMAND ONE CRYPTID AND SUMMAT TO EAT)

(`The Spotted Lion` by Gandar Dower (?) is a great safari book, if you like that sort of thing. He is not, um, a photographer but his slapdash pictures add to the charm)

I am traumatised by public speaking too but I still have to do it. The perils of being a Great Scholar.

Anyhow, one beast I left out...sorry guys.

I need pics of a motzerella cheese buffalo.
