Have just finished reading a wonderful book called Living Arctic, Hunters of the Canadian north, by Hugh Brody.
It is a supurb insight into the way of life of the arctic and sub-arctic indian tribes of northern Canada. I think it is more aimed at social anthropologists but, it explains how their way of life has existed over the years and has been effected by the advent of european culture.
It also contains a wonderful list of photos and quotes from different natives (some of which made me chuckle)
