If you were already carrying
10 - roughly half inch chain links welded (black if it matters)
2 - 1 1/4" welded chain links, again in black

I already have about 10 uses so far but I am hoping you can add more....

cut them in half then sharpen them get them welded together and you have improvised

so block and tackle, belt buckle, trigger pivots, locks for joining two poles/sticks together, centres for joining ropes/straps to make webbing/bags/bedsprings. that sort of thing?

Good list there, and the idea was just to see any thoughts, well, barring trying to weld in the woods for caltrops anyway...so much easier to make them from recycled BBQ grills
