I finished this Lilac serving spoon the other week thought I would get a picture up here.
I love Lilac it finishes very nice.

Nice spoon, never seen Lilac before, it's a very nice wood, eh? great contrast, the pale bit to the side of the bowl............thanks, atb mac

Great looking spoon, been hankering to make a bow out of lilac for some time, from what I have found it will be a tall order.....unless the rest of the wood that spoon came from is 60inches or more long and relatively straight:cool:

It's a bit knotty and twisty. Cut it back and it grows like billeo though.

A Raspberry ripple spoon !! Looks really tasty without any ice cream. Is assume the one pictured on a bush is on a Lilac bush ?

Nah, that's in a car park somewhere, no idea what that bush is. When I carved them I was told they'd go brown over time but its been over 6 months and they're still purple.

Anyhow, wish mine were as neat as soars.
