Leather axe collar

Not sure if this is what they are called but i made this leather wrap for my axe today.

nice one mate how did you tighten it on? iv made some of these before but they end up sliding down after a while. ill maybe try wetforming with rawhide in future

I wet the leather and used leather thong it should tighten as it gets dry but will see in a few days , will up date this thread then.

I dont realy use this axe much was more of away to pass an hour when i was bored,but its ment to protect the shaft below the head.
