What have we here then? Snap, sniff, eyes widen, smile grows.... "Fatwood!"

We camped this time in the broadleaf towards the fairy isles. A mix of chestnut, oak, hazel and birch with the odd rowan, willow and holly. Wind was up when we arrived so we pitched well in from the cliffs where we were sheltered by both the land and woods.

Lovely time. Cound have so easily have turned real soggy - was borderline all the way. As it was I didn't take the waterproofs out of the pack in the five days we were there, just kept drying off slightly quicker than I was getting wet.

Lovely pics Josh, it almost looks sunny :)

I really enjoyed that weekend, it was a great camp with great company.

Still haven't managed to get an ember off the birch drill set and the hazel was never going to go.
