Hi folks

I need to find a good book(s) of short stories for kids to be read during an upcoming wood fest that i'm involved in.

At the moment, not sure about the age of kids, but can presume that they will be among the younger group (pre-teens).

Can you folks recommend me any that younger kids would love to listen to while sat around a story teller in the woods.

Many thanks in advance

Heyho ,
Would some classic fairytales be apt , especially ones that involve woods/forest . Hansel and Gretal springs to mind .
Also considering the media , any Robin Hood story . Loads available , or just paraphrase one of the TV episodes (the 80's series would be better for this)
I know there are some childrens versions of some Saga's out there , these may be too long . As well as quite bloody even though they are the toned down versions , Beowulf etc .
Sorry I can't put my hands on any actual titles of books ,
Cheers ,
Trev .
