Am getting hammocky - considering what to get.

I get the point about rain dripping down rope to wet hammock - do people find karibiners best for stopping this or is a piece of cord good enough?

Also, is it worth getting a sleeve? Could I then carry it round my waist if sack full? or shall I just get it a waterproof sack (half the price of sleeve) and sling on outside of sack, or on belt?

Whoopies will effectively stop almost all drips, so extra drip lines aren't necessary unless your hanging in a monsoon. Like hog, I use whoopie hooks-best thing since whoopie slings.

I use two steel rings each of the webbing that leads off each hammock end, then connect with tree huggers, this also stops water dripping off and is cheaper and more lightweight and easy to adjust.
Thanks to Kepis for this tip.
