Hi all

Having now made my own hot and spicey beef jerky for a while, I thought of making other kinds of jerky or another type of trail food.

Have you guys and gals got any recipes for trail food or other types of meat jerky as i would love to try some new ones.

Cheers

Hello Bush Tucker,

I've been trying my own jerky, and some dried olives, must say the jerky recipes I've been using are self made, but they are good. I use for a base, American Jerk marinade, (from Tesco) then add black pepper, salt and brown sugar, marinade for about 24 hours, then dry for 9 to 10 hours in a dehydraytor. Comes out slightly sticky, but very tastey, and has lasted well too in sealed bags.

Also tried basic salt and pepper, plus teriaki sauce instead of the jerk sauce, again a good combo.
