Heads up on a film released in November called "Into the Wild" screenplay and directed by Sean Penn. You can read the synopsis here but it's a true story revolving around a graduate who drops out with the intention of eventually living in the wilds of Alaska. It appears the film focusses on his previous family relationships (through a series of flashbacks) and the relationship between him and the people he meets on his adventure.
What is interesting is that it also appears to highlight the futility of people who think they can live alone in the wilderness without help. Hmmmm.
It's received mixed reviews from potential oscar nomination through "haunting and Waldonesque" to c**p; but what is agreed is the magnificent cinematography. Might be worth a look.
Pablo.
