As a long time lurker, I've finally registered on this fine forum. It seemed the decent thing to do, since I've got back into what's become known as "bushcraft". When I was younger, Lofty Wiseman was my hero and the "SAS survival handbook" was my bible.
I'm an ex soldier and have always enjoyed the outdoors and have recently been spending my hard earned on bringing my kit back up to spec. Looking forward to the joys of a tarp/hammock set up and, seeing how little kit I can get away with when I manage to get out into the woods again. I've been out in some local woodland recently, trying to remember old skills and, it's good to know that I can still do most of what I used to, albeit at a slower pace!
