Help IDing Bird

Hi all,

I've struggled for a while trying to ID this bird - I've just took a couple shots from one of my videos to try here. Could anyone please help ID this bird? Always stays far away enough my eyes can't see him / her save the dark shape, everytime I zoom in I find it's watching me right back. It also seems to follow me, this could be coincidence / ingrained paranoia. I'm not sure of the call or song as so many others are going off at the same time. The environment is disused chalk pits, fairly new woodland, in Essex, right on the Thames.
