Damn, was hopeing to get the trousers to match my tahr, never mind!
Looks like they are getting rid of all there goretex items, cos they have there own waterproof gear now!

Anyone got the new Aegis version of the Tahr or Wapiti yet?
Despite my initial misgivings it seems owners on other forums are giving Aegis a good write-up. I would be interested to see moisture vapour transmission data for it.

I also learned there were two generations of Swazi Gore tex material: the original, softer, furrier material found on my old Wapiti, and then the newer Gore Tex material found on my relatively new pre-Aegis Tahr. The former seems to soak up more water, and is softer, than the latter. Supposedly the new Aegis fabric is more like the later Gore tex fabric - a little stiffer and crunchier, but less absorbent.
