Hi I just wondered has anyone found a really good spray on waterproofer other thang grangers , fabsil or nikwax I've tried all these on my goretex kit but water still soaks in when heavy rainy hits it ,can't remember it doing this when I first bought it any ideas folks?

Have you tried tumble-drying on high heat for a few minutes after proofing? This activates the coating on Graingers and I think Fabsil. Not too long on high however or your Gore Tex will cease to be!

I have also found the wash-in versions to be pretty useless and top them up with a spray-on version.

Can I ask what jacket it is, how old and how have you cleaned it and with what? They're all pretty pertinent questions I'm not just being nosey.
