Hammock material?

  • UPDATE - The main upgrade is now finished. The site should now be functioning as normal, I will be making tweaks over the weekend, particularly to look of the site. If you notice something is broken or have any comments please let me know. Many thanks Matt (Lithril)

I'm looking for something light-weight, strong (ripstop?), windproof, shower/dew proof and possibly breathable so I don't wake up to a puddle of sweat in the bottom of my hammock in the morning.
Any idea on what sort of weight (gm/sq m) material I should be using?

Thanks in advance

Look at the fabrics in the Pointnorth catalogue. Rip-stop Para-silk is good but can be a little fragile, so extra fabric is needed. Polycotton work-wear fabric is very good (same stuff the army lightweights are made from) and also poly-cotton lining fabrics.
