i was wandering what guide books you guys take when out (if any) and what would you recormend for people new to the bushcraft scene like myself, do you have any favourites ?

i have 'food for free' and 'Trees' in collins gem - very small and handy to have as it fits in a pocket

I have the collins gem 'trees' book which is very good and very portable. I also have a collins gem sized sas survival guide which has some good illustrations in it, but you need your glasses on! Well i do anyway!!!

Depends what I'm up to. Really like the Collins Gems series. They are small and the serious covers most things. Also, never go out without a notebook and pencil :)
