Cheers Aaron. Your right, a waterproof camera is ideal for the outdoors. I have a slightly more robust and heavy olympus that is waterproof to 10m and shock proof for drops from 2m, meant to work to -10degree centigrade as well. It does what it says on the tin and has been snorkeling and taken a beating.

I am sure this one would do an equally brilliant job - the toss up was between weight and robustness (as it often is), and I went with the hard as nails camera.
