Thought others might be interested. Also thought everyone running courses
would probably know about it and searched to check, but didn't find anything
so thought I'd post this just in case...

The PDF which can be downloaded from the page above outlines the scope
as:

1 Scope
This British Standard specifies requirements for the provision of adventurous
activities, expeditions, visits and fieldwork undertaken for educational, training
or recreational purposes outside the United Kingdom.

It applies to ventures:
a) at any location outside the United Kingdom including remoter regions where
climatic extremes, challenging terrain, health hazards or unfamiliar cultural
experiences can be expected;
b) organized for both groups and individuals;
c) that are planned, managed and evaluated from the UK by commercial
companies, educational establishments or voluntary and charitable
organizations.
NOTE This standard can be used by independent travellers as a basis for the
planning and implementation of their own ventures.

Interesting! Thanks for that Jodie. I can't make it (I'm washing my hair or something) but if anybody does go along, could they post feedback? My cadet squadron reguarly goes overseas for war grave tours etc.

Any feedback grateful.
