Here's something a little different- it's a fish bonker. It's carved out of birch. I sanded the handle to smooth things up a bit but left the rest of it as carved and applied linseed oil to help preserve it.
I really wanted the handle to fit my hand as nicely as possible so it wouldn't go flying out of my hand when giving a fish a good whack.

As everything mac said in the uk they are called priests (they administer the last rights to the fish)

I have a lovely antler one made for me and engraved with my initals on the white spot.
