Fire steel - project decoration - dot and ring.

Well I managed to eventually have a go at making a dot and ring tool. Happy with the end results and lots more dotting and ringing to do!!!!

Made up the filler with charcoal in the mortar and pestle and a little beeswax.

Ahhhhh. Okay, the smaller one is a bit of a fiddle but I liked the look of it!! The second one need re-done. It will get a bone bottom plate to cover the core of the antler and a nice wooden top to stop it digging into the palm of my hand. Tool steel was £2.88 from the Bay. thaks for looking.
