My good wife offered to sew some webbing to my crusader brew kit pouch, so I cold carry it on my day sack. Nice stitching and it really was tough on her fingers. 2 layers of fabric, webbing and foam padding she had to sew though. With the pouch finished I quickly got my crusader kit together and tried it. Fit perfectly I was thinking, though I may need some extra support straps to ease the weight of a bottle of water. Then it happened the stitching gave way. Oops, well at least it was at home and not in middle of the woods. Right back to thinking of using some nuts/bolts

Get some tough thread of the same colour and go over it yourself using the same holes.

Tell her it fit perfectly and you loved it but that the substandard thread gave way, that way she might be inclined to do it again with better thread

That's not possible I am her full time carer, except when i'm out in the countryside
