Did you use a mercury vapour bulb for better results?
Brings much joy trapping moths & other bugs for live study.
I once had a white shoulder moth right down in my ear..the pain was agony & had to go to hospital to have it removed, so I always wear earplugs now.

No, I built an LED trap using a mix of high power LEDs including ultra-violet. I have no way of knowing how effective it is compared to traditional moth-trap bulbs but it certainly works.

The trap will run all night off one of my 5Ah 18v Makita batteries :)
