Chip carved Cherry eating spoons.

I have been doing alot of chip carving on my spoons recently, these two are from Cherry.

I have been using a chip carving knife by my friend Magnus Sundelin.

Excuse my ignorance, but how does chip carving differ from just carving?

Chip carving is just removing a thin slice of wood to add detail to the work, you can also do triangles and other detailed patterns like in the youtube video.
