Cheep Arctic baker tent idea

I was thinking of ideas for Arctic shelter on trip's where wight and cost is a issues. We know that cheap builder taps work well shedding snow and pack down well. That looks like a bargain! Make up a couple of flaps for the side and you can leave the "roof" up. Might have to buy one - let us know how you get on!

Many of these get poor reviews on Amazon (Zips failing, fabric tearing), which obviously may not be too good for a winter camp. I expect they would be noisy too.

I'm not knocking the idea, but will be interested to hear your results.

Good stuff. Certainly a cheap alternative to a Baker tent, or even a fishing Bivvi.
