For those who enjoyed the Castaway 2000 series (the one on Taransay, Scotland - sp?, with Ben Fogle in it), there is new improved 'Castaway 2007' on the way on Fri 9th March. This time it's set on Great Barrier Island near New Zealand.

I liked the first series, although it did go a bit 'over-the-top' drama in places, concentrating more on conflict than co-operation. Unfortunately, I worry that it will be more prevalent in the new series. Having scanned the website, it looks more 'Big Brother' style-reality TV than what I'd hoped.
Hopefully, there'll be some serious points but I'm guessing it will focus more on rivalry and bad-tempered relationships than anything of an educational nature.
We'll see. Come on BBC - prove me wrong!!!
