bristol, england
hi there, just wondering if anyone knows of any woodland/primitive campsites where i could go for a weekend using a basha/bivvy bag set up??
I live in bristol, so preferably in the south west, a fire would be excellent, but i know very unlikely, and also the site must have surrounding woodland, this is just to practise basic skills, i havent had much chance through the winter, although i have been doing alot of hiking and camping.
Thanks alot,
ALEX

Silkstone, Blighty!
I'll be moving back to UK in the next year or so, and it really worries me at how difficult it seems to get a good area to practice bushcraft. I don't think I am going to have a good time of it in the UK, I haven't lived there for about 8 years!!

I hope you have some good luck finding a good site, if not, move to Scotland!!

yes scotland does seem the way forward
the south seems to have become city ised (is that a word?)
just the volume of traffic compared to scotland is overwhelming
