Hehehe, I'd be tempted to store the batteries in a different compartment of my pack just to be on the safe side. If you spot a hiker in flames, screaming across the Rannoch Moor, you'll know I forgot to take them out

I go to Loch Ossian at least twice a year..........will keep an eye open for you, you will be the one with the small trolley full of batteries

Hahahahaha! Classic! Though with one of those strapped to my back, I don't think I'd need the torch, 200kW of nuclear power would give me a lovely green glow to see by - hey and it wouldn't ruin my night vision either - bonus!!!
