Hi all, after cleaning this axe head up I have discovered it's a Brades 1571 not a 571 as first thought . So what can anyone tell me about this 4 pound axe head ? Cheers KS

Hi & welcome to the forum. As far as I know Brades & Co Ltd were based in Sheffield here in the UK.They also made some of the Fireman axes that were issued to the UK fire service years ago.
