Great vid. Nice to see someone actually doing stuff without making a fuss about the kit. I mean who would have thought you can make a fire using bowdrill from scratch without wearing a pair of Fjallraven trousers? :)

Right? Not a fan of all the kaki and the preppy gear. I do have some however...

Nicely done! What woods did you use? Particularly interested for the cordage! Thanks

The cordage is a long strip of lime bark, rolled ito a fine tube. That's it. Tom McElroy showed this in one of his great videos. The spindle and the board were willow. The bow was a sycamore branch. The bearing block (my favourite material for this, by far) was a piece of poplar bark.

Beautiful fibres in lime, great cordage to use :)
