Ah no idea why it's not showing.

It's a notice that simply says,

When signing and dating legal documents, do not use 20 as the year 2020.

3rd of March being written 3/3/20 could be modified to 3/3/2018, or 3/3/2019, or even 2025, etc.,

Protect yourself, do not abbreviate 2020

Or....3/3/2000

Dang, I wonder how many folk got swindled by someone modifying 3/3/19 to 3/3/19XX

Source of warning:
"In a Facebook post, the East Millinocket Police Department said writing "20" for the year 2020 could lead to potential fraud."
https://www.google.com/search?q=bew....69i57j33l2.9822j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

One department in somewhere that I doubt anyone could find without Google Maps...and then the warning is picked up in a dozen places, more or less word for word. Maybe it isn't a bad idea since it is the first time that someone could doctor the date by just a couple of years...not a suspicious decade or two. However, if it was a serious threat I would hope to have heard it picked up by other, larger and more prominent police forces.

I just read the comment and thought it timely.
Having read a lot of documentary evidence of the past, to use the full date was definitely more normal in the days of real ink.
It's our prediliction for contraction that's the issue :D

And just for fun...I did use Google maps...yup, East Millinocket, that teaming urban centre pulsing with crime and fraud...last census in 2010...1,723 residents, down by about 100 since 2000.

If you want a laugh you really should look it up on the map, check the satellite view.
