Hi avian fans, I found this skull today, first of, from the shape of the beak, am I correct in assuming its an owl, secondly, unfortunately my field guide only shows one owl skull and I don't think its a Barn owl.
Just curious really but cheers for any replies in advance.

A swift google image search suggests it's not an owl skull, or at least, not a barn owl.

Barn Owl for reference.

There aren't many UK raptors with a head that large, (~ 8cms if the scale in the pic is accurate) so buzzard or red kite perhaps?
