Nipped out to the local (woods!) with a mate tonight for a little practice plink with the catapults. Was nice to rig the tarp up, found a lovely couple of beeches just wide enough for the tarp. The wet weather has triggered another run of mushrooms, plenty of fresh oysters that I'll be going back for later this week. Seems to be a very productive stump this one!
Does anyone have any idea what the other mushroom is though? Very distinctive with it's pore like gills, nothing like a boletus though, and the cap had a strange rough edge to it, no sign of a sheath. Found on dead birch trunk in broadlead woodland.
