So are there anymore takers for a free custom one off pen like my best mate has made and generously donated for the competition? See posting 1 for the specs/details etc.

Good news about the egg bound hen - he stamped on the chicken and broke the egg inside her and pulled it out with a bent wire coat hanger. Job done. :yikes:

I joke of course, he coaxed it out and the hen's fine to lay another day.

Some of those answers you submitted were a bit eggagerated, hoping for 2000+ eggs would soon knacker those little peckers I'm sure, but I suppose there are breeds that can do that, his aren't.

So the winner with the closest answer is Berk with 965 and SimonD came a very close 2nd with 987. So Berk gets the pen of his choice from the selection on page 1 of this thread.

Many thanks for taking part. Hope you enjoyed the visit to Paul's website in the process. If you want a pen like those he's made here drop him a line, vai his website. He's taking commissions and those pens are not only good quality they're real works of art too. I've got one, it's sweeeeeet.

It's a really nice looking pen, nice lines and fairly simple, elegant. I've sent my details on as asked. Thanks again to both of you for the comp and the prize. I'll hopefully give the pen a good run in with my exams that are coming up, two three hour exams should be a good test.
