I got some packs of Cavallo Nero leaves on offer. I like good green cabbage, and these are the best.

But I have three packs and though I tried to offload one on my neighbours, they do not share my tastes in brassicas.

How best to store?

Someplace cold and dark. I keep mine in a black bin in the garden that's only used to store veggies. You can do it in the salad drawer of the fridge too though. Mine's usualy too blooming full to take brassicas too.

You can make a soup with the cabbage and tinned small white beans.

I usually make one dish with the thin part of the leave, and another with the thicker stalk part.
I use this one with the beans.
Fry finely chopped onion, see through stage.
Water, Beef stock cube, pepper, one clove garlic, crushed and chopped
Boil with beans gently for a few minutes, add a soup spoon of rolled oats, gentle boil another few minutes, add C.N. Finely chopped stalk leave part and gently boil another few minutes.
