does anyone know what the steel is? it says "high carbon stainless"
it is full tang and the handle looks like it comes off by undoing 2 bolt things, the blade is also covered in horrible black paint rubbish, which should come off with some paint stripper and some high grit sand paper.
so, it wouldnt take much effort to make the blade look good and shiny and get a new handle on it, et voila! a nice looking blade and no trace of bear grylls on it

I found the acronym of the steel a while back, but now I wans't able to find it again. Anyway I remember it was the chinese version of 440C.

so nothing really special then. i will get one if someone sells one second hand, but i dont think its worth it new.
