Ok folks, I know I have touched on this before, (but can't find it and anyhow I'd like to see what other inmput someone may make) but can you recomend a good in print book on soldering/ tinsmithing?

I've a preference for a real book rather than articles on the net, something I can read on the bus.

Cheers

This one is very good..its written more for the model engineer.Covers everything pretty much!http://www.amazon.co.uk/Soldering-Brazing-Workshop-Practice-Tubal/dp/0852428456/ref=pd_sim_b_1

And this one for tinsmithing:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sheet-Metal...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273339579&sr=1-1
Iirc it covers soldering, also covers all manner of sheetmetalwork like seams and joints, raising and hollowing and planishing, pattern drawing..the lot!Or for the oldschool theres Hasluck's book:Tinplate work.

Off to lurk behind the chippy and chinese to snaffle some big food oil cans to chop up for sheet metal!
