' the ultimate in self-rescue skills from the world’s most recognized face of survival and outdoor adventure'

But 'the face' could mean from his brand. There's nothing that I can see that says Bear will be there and the only contact mentioned is 'course leaders'... That could mean Bear... Maybe Mors and Lofty? Who knows - I'd certainly want it spelling out loud and clear before I parted with money.

For a value comparison, though I might be repeating someone else - the 'day' (6hrs) with Ray Mears is £350.

I know. Legends as they are I struggle with the price, thoug you are competing with the lecture circuit and TV money so unless they were doing it as a charity thing...

You can probably ape the Grylls course by doing one or two of the Woodsmoke courses back to back (e.g. Woodlander/Native then Solo) and then enter this: http://www.toughguy.co.uk/

On a tangent Gill - the bag arrived, thanks. It's now going with me to Morocco this weekend.

Personally I would far rather give the owners of Woodsmoke my money for a course than that drama queen.

I bet he doesn't get cheap insurance anyway...

£2999 for a week. put it this way that is 15 trips to Norway at a week at a time. witch would you rather have ? you would get far better value for you money with somewhere like woodsmanbushcraft.

Learn the ultimate in self-rescue skills from the world’s most recognized face of survival and outdoor adventure.

Of course its a lot of money. It has to be. Bear Grylls has to hire Ray Mears to run the course. Ray is bound to charge a premium for this
