Like Draven I'm interested in getting into air rifle shooting and was wondering if there's anyone locally (I'm in Cottingham) that could point me in the right direction or help me get a foot in the door. I'm going to ask in the air rifle club that I used to shoot at when I was a teenager about getting permission on local land, etc.
My plan is to get a used weirauch springer and shoot rabbits and pigeons to eat, but I don't want to buy one until I have somewhere to use it. It seems like you need to be able to shoot tight 25-40mm groups to hunt responsibly or get permission, which is a kind of catch 22 situation.
