One I see in small ads, and never understand, is "WHY"...
What does that mean? "Will Hold Yours"?

'Bug-out Bag' (BOB) is like the military 'Go Bag'. There's a couple of different meanings:

Firstly, it's something that has enough kit in to allow you to survive/operate if your site is overrun and you have to grab something quick and go - or 'bug out'. It's usually smaller than a began and could just be a day pack or your webbing.

Secondly, it can mean your kit in a bag at home ready to go at a moment's notice. It means you don't have to mess about at 3am looking for all of your stuff because you've been called out. Equally, in buchcraft terms, it could be a bag of your essential kit for a weekend out just in case a mate calls late Friday afternoon and says 'Do you fancy a couple of days in the woods? Can you be ready in 15 minutes - I'm on my way!

Are there any other meanings for Bug-out Bag?

Thanks, i will be putting one together shortly. I got stranded a hundred miles from home at one in the morning the other weekend, and could really have done with a BOB. I spent the night in a wood on the edge of town with nothing but a plastic water bottle. I didn't even have a coat just the fleece top i was wearing
Still focused me as to what i needed. A hat was first on the list....

Maybe added to the list of words some american english confusions.
Benders are simerlar to Wickiups and are not slang terms for gay men.

I have being laughing at myself all day, I nearly e-mailed an american a question on the hole size that benders need to take a hot pipe. :lmao:
