a good book

got home from work yesterday and one of the joys of having a lady who is a librarian is that there was 8 books about woodland waiting for me :-D one of them was this one "traditional woodland crafts" by raymond tabor isbn 0-7134-7500-5 , its got lots of different sharp things in it so you never know you may like it quick edit, just found a link http://www.cambiumbooks.com/books/rustic_furniture/0-7134-7500-5/

I bought a copy recently. Its a good book, although a lot of it is covered in his other books, and in other similar books. Still a good, inspirational read though.

Yeah I've been enjoying it a lot so far. Bit put off by the suggestion of using yew wood to make spoons and salad tongs :S
It is poisonous right?

I think once it is seasoned it is OK. It's the sap in the wood that is poisonous, not the wood fibres thenselves or so I've been told.

Yeah I thought that it might be seasoned wood that's ok. But as it's a green woodwork book and as such doesn't mention that the wood should be seasoned it seems a bit questionable.
