Shug has well and truly broken my cold camping hammock record of -40c! He went under the 40 barrier too.

Ah well, it was good while it lasted.

He is without a doubt the happiest person I have ever seen in those temperatures:D
Me? I much prefer sleeping indoors when it's that cold. Guess I'm a bit wimpy:lmao:

Woo buddy!

That's crazy cold for any sort of camping. Wonder how many geese he's got wrapped round him ;).

Shug's d'man! I've not been below 5 deg C in my Hammock, Underblanket suspension needs tinkering with before I'll head below freezing. Another project for the coming months!

Thanks for posting Pete

Interesting to see the wool jacket working all the body heat leaving the body and chilling down on the outside

Stealing whiskey warms you up better, you have to run away. :bandit:

Tinkering is the secret, they can be tricky to get the most out of em'.

What's that jacket he's wearing?

Another great bit of Canvas Empire Works kit. Boreal shirt.

Odd that -40f is -40c one of those mathematical oddities.

It's the magic number too, it's all a bit strange on the other side after the numbers meet.

It was interesting that he rated the wool top after wearing down and synthetics for years. That Boreal shirt is quite similar to yours too. The neck gaiter is a great touch :)
