Has anyone got a Snugpak Special Forces Bivvi Bag ?

I have one, I'm 5'11 and about a 38" inch chest. I use it over a down sleeping bag and there's still loads of room. It is very light and waterproof but also breathes well. Packs down to nothing. I use it most trips even in the tent and especially if the dogs been wet as she always like to lie...

    A sentimental old fool

I'd still keep it :) In your case if I thought I could use it I'd do as Dave suggests and revamp it and think of him when I look at it. In my case, yeah, I'm just a sentimental old fool at times. I know I'm not going to use it but it is a link to him in my memories. It reminds me of the...

    A sentimental old fool

I'd keep it. My Grandad died recently and my mum found his old canvas RAF kit bag from his war days which she gave to me. I'll never use it but it just feels nice to have if that makes sense :)

    Spirit Animal

Cougar for me :) "Grrr, baby—you're the personification of animal magnetism. Your confidence, beauty, and athleticism make you the target of many romantically inclined individuals. Too bad for them—you don't stick around long enough to make breakfast, much less a lifetime commitment...

    Golite Shangrila 3 (hex)

I'm guessing you've never been camping North of the border in Midge season if you can come out with a comment like that :) I use a poncho as a porch over the door if it's pouring and I want to cook or anything undercover, works well and is plenty big enough.

    Golite Shangrila 3 (hex)

Had mine a while now and it's my favourite of my tents by far. I use the full mesh interior with it. Easy to pitch and put away, takes up little room in my pack. It's got masses of room in it for me and the dog (I'm 5'11" and puppy is a Lab). It's light and airy inside, with or without the...

    Cocobolo whittler....

You'll be delighted with it John. I have two of Lances knives and couldn't be happier with them and seeing that one makes me think I need another, I don't have a whittler :) Amazing work as always Lance.
