    Camp Salty - Mors weekend

I’m sure everyone’s got this point covered …We watched Kelly Harlton and JMac do a demo shelter at the GBS in 2019 and they commented about leaving a small ventilation hole in the finished shelter. I guess this is particularly important if using candles inside the shelter

Wet and dry paper for scandi grind sharpening

I remember watching Ben Orford do sharpening demos at the Bushcraft Show 7 or 8 years ago and I’m pretty sure he used only 600 grit Followed by stropping....he used sheets from a large belt sander on a home made jig. He uses alternative products which he has available for sale nowadays. What is...

    Folding knife with saw blade?

Another vote for the GAK....Endicotts of Exeter do them cheap second hand with price determined by quality. This often involves grinding out the end of the blade if it’s chipped, but as recommended by Neil1, it was easy to convert the blade to a lambfoot shape thereby reducing the blade length...

    The Bushcraft Journal?

It’s been around a few years now and is a fine magazine. After launching by subscription if then became free for a while but now requires a reasonable subscription. There are some high quality contributors and a wide range of topics are covered. I’ve been happy to subscribe all along and it’s...

Let's See Your R.J. Evans Knives

While I’m fortunate to own both Bison and Orford knives I felt I needed a Rob Evans Bushtool. As you can see I settled on one...then another. They both see plenty of use, are robust with excellent fit and finish with very durable edges. The walnut handled one is unground (by request) and the one...

    Sold Kephart style knives

Wow they look damn nice. I would expect they are of the same quality as Rob’s Bushtools where the grind, fit and finish are top drawer..
