    Went out today and had a shake down

    I went out with my new ni patrol pack and had a shakedown with it then a short walk back. I found it hurt my shoulders a bit after a short walk but it's probably because I didn't use the waist belt

    i have used lots of different jackets and all have they're advantages and disadvantages. for long distance i use a rab down jacket and for packing away, warmth and weight it ticks all the boxes. i use an ex army parka for bushcraft. its bulky, heavy, as waterproof as a spongue and i wont win any...

    woobie and wool blanket

    hello i''m trying to find out how good a combination a woobie/jungle blanket and a wool blanket used together would insulate against cold weather. my guess is you could comfortably get down to 2°c an stay warm. anyone tried this combo?
